LeBron James Wins MVP. One Voter Denies Him History

LeBron James is still hated by some people. An MVP voter proved that when he or she voted for Carmelo Anthony as the league MVP instead of James. James averaged 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.7 steals and shot a career-high 56.5 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from deep on the season. James led the Miami Heat to a league-best 66-16 record that included a 27-game winning streak. James has also been named to the NBA's all-defensive team the last four years and is expected to make the team again this year.
Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James
There are reason's for voting for Anthony for MVP, but being a good defensive player isn't one of them.
Anthony scored about a point a game more than James, but James played in more games, played more minutes, got more assists, rebounds and steals.  The Heat won the NBA Championship last year, which means every team is went out and tried to play their best game against the Heat. Which means that every thing James earned this year, was that much harder than anyone else. Given what the James and the Heat did this year, James and everyone else had every reason to believe he was going to make history and be the first NBA MVP to win the award with a unanimous vote.

We may never know who voted against James, since the vote is anonymous. (It should have also been unanimous) The irony is that the voters consider almost everything about the players to be a matter for public consumption, but when it comes to finding out who voted and how, the voters have shielded themselves from the public.
